What's On - June
For most of May ItalianCar decamped to the UK where we had an opportunity - courtesy of Alfa Romeo UK - to test drive the new Alfa 159 3.2 V6 Q4 Sportwagon - look out for our upcoming report. June is shaping up to be a busy month for test drives - we have already tested the new 5-door Fiat Punto 1.4 petrol (with the new Dualogic gearbox) and will be reporting on how it compares to the 5-door 1.9 manual diesel version.
In quick succession we will also be testing a series of Alfas: the new manual 2.0 GT, the 159 diesel Sportwagon, the 2.2 Spider (for the second time - see below), the new auto Brera 3.2 V6 and finally... a Fiat Ducato van. We have been threatening to review a Fiat van for a long time, but this time we actually have someone on the team who knows what they're talking about when it comes to vans - our new photographer James Goss. You can see some examples of James' stunning photography in our forthcoming first drive of the new Alfa Spider - ItalianCar Club members can read this now in the Club section (membership is free - to join just click on the ItalianCar Club section at the top of the right hand column on this page). The photo above is one of James' from the Spider test drive.
If you find yourself at a loose end in Sydney, Australia this forthcoming holiday weekend (9-11 June) you could do worse than head down to Darling Harbour for what promises to be an amazing collection of Italian cars at the Motori Italiani show on Sunday 10th and Monday 11th. The event will feature hundreds of Italian cars, motorbikes and scooters and is the closing event of the Sydney Italian Festival. ItalianCar will be there so we look forward to seeing you at the show. Go to www.motoriitaliani.com for more details.
There's also plenty of news on Italian cars in the pipeline - we'll be keeping you posted! Look out as well for more information on Club 360 - an ItalianCar project that could see you behind the wheel of a Ferrari 360. If you can't wait, there's already information up about the Club 360 project in the ItalianCar Club. Join up now if you want to find out more.
