2004 NRMA Motorfest

Once again the sun came out on Australia Day and around 1,000 vehicles of all shapes and sizes converged on Sydney for the NRMA Motorfest. All cars on display were over 30 years old (or more precisely the model had to be over 30 years old). The Italian turnout was in fact better than last year with a few more cars on display - some were here last year and some not - the main changes being no Ferrari at all (apparently last year's GTC turned up but too late for a spot - 200 Minis got in before him) and this time a lone Alfa turned up. And we couldn't resist that Citroen SM - a French car with an Italian engine.

A rare Lancia Fulvia Zagato - strangely parked outside the Motorfest!

Is this an Italian car? Well, it's a Piaggio 3 Ape 500mp. Whatever that is...

Hello again - a Fiat 500D ...and another

A gorgeous little Fiat Abarth 850

OK it's not Italian - it's French - but it's got a 190bhp V6 Maserati engine in it - a Citroen SM
