Lamborghini launch the Versace model in Paris
It’s hard to think quite what to say when you hear that Lamborghini have teamed up with Versace to give their latest model – the LP 640 – the Versace treatment. What can they be thinking of??? The LP 640 is for extreme revheads with mountains of cash – normally (let’s face it) men who have no problem demonstrating their masculinity… in a car kitted out by Versace?
Oh well, we’re sure that Lamborghini and Versace did their market analyses before they got together, and we suppose they only really have to sell one or two to make it worthwhile (perhaps to the Versace family themselves?). Or perhaps it’s with a view to making the purchase by Mr X more acceptable to Mrs X. Who knows.
As you would expect the car is altered only in the aesthetic sense – the Maison Versace logo (or ‘motif’ as it is referred to) adorns the car on the inside and the model gets all the options on the normal LP 640 as standard. As a bonus the Versace version also comes with his and hers suitcases – of course designed to fit in the cubby hole referred to as the ‘boot’ – and a suit carrier. On the outside of the vehicle a palladium brass finished authentication tag can have the personal details of the owner etched in, matching similar ID tags in the luggage.
Versace has also added to its range a pair of blue calfskin driving shoes and driving gloves along with a watch – the Chrono Matt Soft Touch – available in ceramic black or white, with a complementary ladies watch.
