The editorial-desk byline belongs to the owner-operated project that has published the new ItalianCar edition since 2026. It does not represent the site's former owners or authors.
What the desk covers
The current work concentrates on Italian marque and model history, design, engineering and practical ownership research. It includes reference pages on cars from Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Abarth, Lancia, Maserati and Lamborghini, together with coachbuilders and other subjects recovered from the domain's historic topic map.
Unless an article specifically says otherwise, coverage is desk research. It should not be read as a claim that the project has driven, dismantled, inspected or authenticated the individual car under discussion.
How an article is made
Research starts with evidence close to the subject: factory archives, brochures, owner handbooks, technical bulletins, homologation material, government records, museums and recognised registries. Reputable marque histories, specialist publications, workshops, clubs and owner experience may add context where their role is made clear.
Sources are linked on the article. Conflicts in dates, naming, specifications or period power figures are described rather than silently resolved through repetition. Ownership guidance separates observable symptoms from diagnosis and points readers toward the relevant handbook, official recall service or model-qualified specialist.
Software-assisted production
Software tools may assist with archive inventories, source organisation, drafting, image preparation, link checking and consistency checks. They are production aids, not authorities. Material factual claims are checked against cited sources before publication, and uncertainty remains visible where the evidence does not support a firm conclusion.
All current writing is newly prepared for this edition. Former article prose and former-site images are not reused. Current images are owned, generated, public-domain or explicitly licensed, with credits shown where a licence requires attribution.
Independence and accountability
The editorial desk is independent of manufacturers and the other organisations it covers. ItalianCar currently carries no display advertising, sponsored articles, paid placements, lead-generation forms or commission-paying links. The commercial disclosure records that position and the labels required if it changes.
Substantive factual errors are handled under the corrections policy. A public contact channel will appear only when it can be monitored reliably; this profile does not invent an email address or promise a response.
