ItalianCar corrects substantive factual errors transparently. This page explains the threshold for a public correction and records corrections made to the current edition.

What receives a correction note

A correction is appropriate when an article materially misstates a specification, date, model identity, attribution, source, price basis, safety point or conclusion. It is also appropriate when wording creates a misleading impression even though individual words could be read narrowly as true.

A published correction should identify the affected page, describe the incorrect or unclear statement, explain the replacement and link to supporting evidence where possible. The article's updated date changes and the note remains attached to the page so a returning reader can understand the revision.

What may be fixed without an entry

Spelling, punctuation, grammar, layout, accessibility markup and broken-link repairs may be made without a public correction when they do not change the meaning. A source URL may be replaced with an equivalent official location without a correction if the evidence and claim remain the same.

Those maintenance fixes do not justify changing a page's substantive updated date simply to make it appear more recent.

How entries will be written

Article: title and direct link.
Correction date: the date the published page changed.
What changed: a plain-language account of the error and replacement.
Evidence: the source used to verify the correction.
Effect: whether the change altered a broader conclusion or recommendation.

Reporting an issue

A public corrections channel will be listed only when it can be monitored and answered reliably. Until then, ItalianCar does not publish an unmonitored address or promise a response it cannot provide. The record will still be updated when an error is identified during editorial review.
